Labor Petitions – L-1 Visa
The L-1A nonimmigrant classification allows US employers, to transfer an executive or manager from one of its foreign offices affiliated with one of its offices in the United States. This classification also allows a foreign company that does not yet have an affiliated office in the United States to send an executive or manager to the United States for the purpose of establishing an office.
To qualify within this classification, the US employer must:
- Have an eligible relationship with a foreign company.
- Currently be, or will be doing business as an employer in the United States and in at least one other country. This can occur directly or through an eligible organization for the duration of the beneficiary’s stay in the United States as an L-1 nonimmigrant.
